Abstract
Feminism is a social movement whose goal is to achieve an equal base with men in cultural, social and economic fields for women. The origin of this intellectual movement is the West. Gradually, many feminist trends were formed in this field, all of them have a common opinion on two issues. First, because of their gender, women are subject to discrimination and inferiority, and secondly, this inferiority must be eliminated through the reform of the economic, social and political system. Some of the achievements of this movement are the freedom of abortion, denial of marriage, sexual slavery, unhealthy relationships and sexual violence. Feminist views in Iran and other Islamic countries were presented by apparently intellectuals who tried to provide a reading of religion that is close to the models known in the Western world by presenting new interpretations of the verses of the Qur'an. Iran's Islamic Revolution, inspired by Islamic teachings and removing suspicions of corruption, portrayed the ability of Muslim women. The goal of Islam in defending the rights of women is not to oppress them and adjust and balance the rights between men and women. In this article, some feminist foundations are criticized.
