Abstract

This research aims to analyze the jurisprudential foundations of women's right to entertainment in the Shiite jurisprudential system and examine the related Sharia restrictions. The main issue of the research is to explain the legal status of women's entertainment within the framework of jurisprudential rulings and to answer the question of whether Shiite jurisprudence recognizes the right to entertainment for women and what restrictions it sets for it? The research method is designed as a descriptive-analytical and qualitative approach in which, by examining jurisprudential texts, verses of the Quran, narrations of the Infallibles and opinions of Shiite jurists, data were collected and analyzed.
The findings show that Shiite jurisprudence, citing the principle of permissibility, the rule of harmlessness and narrated evidence, recognizes women's right to entertainment within the framework of observing Sharia rulings. The most important foundations of this right include not contradicting hijab and chastity, avoiding neglect of religious and family responsibilities, and preserving women's human dignity. The jurisprudential restrictions also mainly concern preventing non-mahram mixing, the use of forbidden means, and negative socio-moral effects. The conclusion of the research indicates that the approach of Shiite jurisprudence to women's right to entertainment is based on a balance between individual freedoms and commitment to Islamic values, which can be adapted to emerging examples according to the requirements of time and place. This study, by providing a systematic framework, is considered a step towards developing the jurisprudential literature on women's rights.
