Abstract

There are different views on whether or not it is obligatory for a wife to perform household chores; some jurists believe that household chores are obligatory, while others have elaborated on the wife's status and status. According to the well-known jurists, a woman has no obligation and is entitled to receive wages if, apart from marital duties, she performs an act on the husband's orders that is subject to payment of wages from the perspective of custom. This rule has one exception, and that is if it is proven that the wife carried out her husband's orders intentionally. The new Family Protection Law, which came into effect in 2013, has provided the woman with the possibility to demand retribution for her actions whenever she wants and without the need to issue a divorce decree, if the legal conditions are met. In the present study, which was conducted in an analytical-descriptive manner, in addition to examining the approach of jurists, we will explain the jurisprudential-legal foundations of the wife's right to demand equivalent remuneration.
