Abstract
In the religion of Islam and Islamic teachings, Hajj and pilgrimage are not only considered as acts of worship, but also act as educational and social schools and profound transformational events in the lives of individuals, the most important of which is the promotion of family piety. This research, by adopting an interdisciplinary approach, attempts to explore the various dimensions of this fact. In this research, from a jurisprudential perspective, piety as the religious goal of the acts of worship of Hajj and pilgrimage, in the light of verses, narrations and jurisprudential rulings; in the social dimension, the functions of piety in strengthening the solidarity of the Islamic nation, strengthening social justice and creating collective responsibility have been evaluated; and also from a psychological perspective, the individual effects of these rituals in creating self-mastery, reducing anxiety, increasing hope and spiritual excellence of the family and society have been evaluated. This research, using a descriptive-analytical method and library study, has examined the mechanisms of producing piety in Hajj and pilgrimage in the jurisprudential, social and religious psychological dimensions. The findings show that piety, as the main fruit of Hajj and pilgrimage, is the connecting link between the individual and collective dimensions of man in the family and lays the groundwork for spiritual growth, psychological balance, and social cohesion. As a result, it can be said that by creating and strengthening piety, Hajj and pilgrimage provide a platform for the realization of a more spiritual family and subsequently a healthier and more balanced society. Also, the rituals and customs of these practices strengthen divine awareness in the individual and society and lead to the growth of moral virtues and social responsibility. The present analysis highlights the comprehensive and intertwined effect of these dimensions in the formation of individual and collective piety and shows that following educational models in religious institutions increases piety in the family.
